Wildland-Urban Interface Fire Code Certification
ICC-ES ESR-4161 CBC/CRC SUPPLEMENT / ESL-1274
The Joto-Vent System® 1×6 Joto-Vent “KP-L150U”, in conjunction with Architectural Covering “WACF-U45” complies with the performance requirements of ASTM E2886 as described in ESL-1274. According to CBC and CRC, Joto-Vent System® may use in the exterior design and construction of new buildings located in a Fire Hazard Severity Zone within California State Responsibility Areas or any Wildland-Urban Interface Fire Area. (ICC-ES ESR-4161 CBC/CRC SUPPLEMENT).


The Joto-Vent System® has passed the required tests specified in ASTM E2886.
When used in combination with the 1×6 Joto-Vent and 1×6 Architectural Covering, it effectively blocks flame, and ember intrusion. This performance has been verified through certified testing lab and recognized by ICC-ES. The system is approved for use in WUI-designated areas in the State of California.

Code-Compliant and Widely Approved
In addition to meeting ASTM E2886 requirements and WUI standards, the system complies with the 2021, 2018, and 2015 editions of the International Wildland-Urban Interface Code (IWUIC).
Originally approved for use in California, it is now permitted in WUI-designated regions beyond the state as well. The system is also approved for use under the 2023 Los Angeles Building Code (LABC) and Los Angeles Residential Code (LARC), including within the City of Los Angeles.
