What are the Mold, Decay, Termite Infestation?
Mold, Decay and Termites sounds similar, but it is not the same.
All three of these species are forest cleaners with different characteristics. Understanding these species then we can think about the ways how to preserve the wood members.
What is Mold?
Mold is “the dust-like, colored appearance” – by Wikipedia, and the airborne spore can lead to a variety of health problems. Molds are not heavy decomposer to the wood species but can cause serious cosmetic damage to a property. They will become active with proper moisture.

What is Decay, and Termites?
“Wood-decay is any species of fungus that digests moist wood causing it to rot.” – by Wikipedia. Termites are not familiar in the Pacific Northwest area, but they are a group of highly derived cockroaches which consume a variety of decaying wood.
These two species will cause serious structural consequences because they decompose the wood. Both will become active by providing moisture (or water), proper temperature and air. (some species in certain area exceptionally decompose drywood as well as damp wood)

Joto-Vent System® will prevent from becoming active.
The Joto-Vent System® will create crawl space air to move.
This will improve dump crawl space to a dry environment. This system is not actively eliminating but passively prevents them from becoming active.
