Minimizing Field Modifications to Soffit Boards
We would like to introduce a new installation idea for use with 3/4” Cedar Channel and T&G Soffit Boards. This detail is designed to minimize field modifications to the soffit boards as much as possible while maintaining a clean and efficient installation.
Installation Options: Center vs Fascia Placement
When installed at the center of the soffit, as shown above, two slits must be cut into the soffit board to accommodate the detail. However, when installed directly adjacent to the fascia board, as shown below, the use of a Starting Strip eliminates the need for cutting or modifying the soffit board.
Venting Made Invisible – 2” Reveal Soffit Vent
The 2” Reveal Soffit Vent features a sleek design that conceals vent openings for a clean, modern look on your home’s exterior. Crafted from durable galvanized steel, it integrates easily with standard boards. Available in white or black, each vent provides a Net Free Vent Area (NFVA) of 4.1 sq.in. per linear foot.
